Dr. Zane Cohen

Dr. Zane Cohen is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto and the Director of the Dr. Zane Cohen Digestive Diseases Clinical Research Centre Mount Sinai Hospital, a clinical research facility internationally acclaimed as a leader in the understanding and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. He was the Surgeon-in-Chief and the Chairman of the Division of General Surgery at Mount Sinai for many years and has served on numerous committees at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Cohen's clinical interests have been in the area of colon and rectal surgery and he has been instrumental in helping thousands of patients afflicted with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and colorectal cancer. He has authored over 230 manuscripts and book chapters and he has held peer reviewed research grants from all of the major granting agencies for his work. Recognized internationally for his many achievements, Dr. Cohen has been an invited speaker worldwide.
