How Partnerships can Help in Rural Recruiting
Recruiting to rural settings is a high priority and a challenging area for healthcare workers. In British Columbia, we have found success in recruiting health care providers who have received part of their formative education and training in a rural environment. By establishing connections with UBC’s School of Kinesiology and Faculty of Land and Food Systems, which includes Dietetics, the Pacific Northwest has gained exposure as a excellent region to practice in, with student Kinesiologist and Dietitian placements and experienced successful recruitment of newly graduated allied health professionals thereafter.
