Knowledge Sharing and Team Building

A critical component in the success of the CHANGE Program has been the sharing of knowledge between health professionals across Canada.

In British Columbia 20-60 healthcare leaders gather weekly for a 7:30AM video call to share status, success, innovations, and new research. This includes physicians, University Faculty, Researchers, Elders, First Nation leaders, Kinesiologists, Dietitians, government leaders, students, Practice Support Coaches, Vendors and generally anyone interested in contributing or learning more. The attendance of these calls over the past several years demonstrate the value of sharing information, and learning what is working. Enhancements to the program are continuous with this regular flow of information at all levels.

In March 2023 Metabolic Syndrome Canada offered its first national Symposium. This two-day virtual event brought healthcare leaders together from across Canada to share the latest innovations, research and successes in helping Canadians be healthier. Demand is strong to repeat this event regularly.
